Grammy-winning performer Wyclef Jean visits “Good Morning America” to talk about the incident early Tuesday morning in which he was handcuffed by the Los Angeles’ County Sheriff’s Department. “I was scared for my life,” said Wyclef.
“The LAPD have me in cuffs for absolutely nothing,” the Haitian singer said in a video of the incident that he shared to Twitter on Tuesday. “Y’all see the police have handcuffs on me! They just took off my Haitian bandana. That’s what’s doing on with Wyclef in LA right now.”
Watch Wyclef tell his story on-on-one with Robin Roberts above, saying he was wrongfully detained by police after being mistaken for a suspect!
They proceeded to ignore me and I was treated like a criminal until other police showed up and pointed out they had wrong person.
