Garcelle Beauvais slammed after tweeting a photo of herself kissing former co-star Will Smith to wish him happy 50th birthday.
The Haitian actress captioned the picture, “A birthday kiss for the birthday boy #willsmith happy 50th.” She used a picture from the 1999 film “Wild Wild West” that SawPanse.com posted a while ago.
After a fan on Twitter advised her to remove the post as Smith’s wife of more than 20 years, Jada Pinkett-Smith, would likely take offense to it, she boldly responded with the words “Bring it lol.”
Take a look, below:
After being slammed across social media for the post, the actress took to Twitter to explain that her intentions were pure and to add that she never meant to disrespect or offend anyone, in the process.
“You’re disrespectful as hell,” one person wrote on Beauvais’ Instagram page. “Don’t post yourself kissing someone’s husband to wish him a happy birthday.”
“She messy,” someone else commented. “Why would she even post that pic?”
At first, Beauvais responded to the backlash playfully by tweeting “Bring it,” but then she removed the photo and said sorry.

“Okay guys, it was supposed to be a funny post,” she wrote. “My bad if I offended anyone. If you are my followers you know I’m all about lifting up people and being a positive human being. I made a mistake. Have a beautiful blessed day.”
There were others, however, who thought coming at Beauvais was ridiculous.
“You didn’t make a mistake,” someone commented. “Some people just have no life and like to feed off and create unnecessary drama.”
“She has the right to post whatever she wants on her account, just like everyone does on their own account,” another person wrote. “We can’t micro-shame everyone for everything just because they don’t move according to our philosophical patterns.”
So far Will and Jada have remained silent on all this.
Did you think Garcelle’s tweet was inappropriate?
