Belo to release new album Natif Natal

Haitian International artist Jean Belony Murat well-known as BélO will release a new album title Natif Natal (Native Born). The album is slated to be released globally on April 9, 2014 with a worldwide tour beginning in the United States.

The album showcases upcoming local Haitian vocalist like Mandela (Track 4 Pa Lage) and Queen Bee (Track 10 Abondans), Haiti’s renown rapper BIC (Track 6 Kase Tibwa) and the celebrated Haitian roots artist Eddy Francois -former lead singer of Boukman Eksperyans Grammy nominated group (Track 9 Pa Koute Yo). Wyclef, Santana, Avicii and Alexandre Pires to Perfom 2014 Wolrd Cup Closing Anthem

FIFA and Sony Music Entertainment have announced today that the official anthem of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil is entitled “Dar um Jeito (We Will Find A Way),” and features a global superstar line-up including music legend Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana, Avicii and Alexandre Pires.

The Anthem “Dar um Jeito (We Will Find A Way)” will be released late April and was produced by 2-time Grammy-nominated Ash Pournouri (PRMD Music), Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub and Wyclef Jean and recorded at PRMD Studios in Stockholm. Continue Reading →

Arly Lariviere and his band Nu-Look took a stand during a live performance to show respect to Pipo’s mom who passed away last week in Montreal. It was just one of several reactions from artists and friends of Nu-Look’s former lead singer Ederse Stanis, well-known as Pipo.

Jean-Claude Duvalier Might Run for President in 2016

35 organizations in Haiti, including La Fédération des secteurs pour une nouvelle orientation de développement aux Gonaïves (FESNODG), are asking former Haitian president and dictator Jean-Claude Duvalier to run for president of Haiti in 2016.

Regardless of complaints in court against Jean-Claude Duvalier for crimes committed under his rule, FESNODG believes only Duvalier could change the situation of the Haitian people.

South Korean Singer Sunye is Moving to Haiti

Wonder Girls’ singer Sunye will indeed be making her way to Haiti for a five-year missionary work. Sunye is planning to leave for Haiti with her husband and child in July.

Min Sunye was born on August 12, 1989, in Seoul, South Korea. She attended Korea Arts High School and Dongguk University. In 2001, Sunye was discovered by JYP Entertainment during Park Jin-young’s “99% Challenge” project, where she sang and danced. She then trained at JYP Entertainment until she debuted in the Wonder Girls in 2007. Sun was one of the longest serving trainees at JYP Entertainment, along with Jo Kwon of 2AM and Min of miss A. Plezi Kanaval Awards Statuette Designed by Tisaksuk


The statuette for the first annual Plezi Kanaval Awards was designed by Tisaksuk, an artisanal boutique located in Tabarre, Haiti inside of Valerio Canez.

Tisaksuk is a gift shop in Port-au-Prince Haiti focusing on designing, promoting and selling artisanal products made in Haiti. Tisaksuk’s aim is to encourage the use of Made in Haiti products more locally and abroad.
