Haitian Konpa band CaRiMi has had a brilliant few years. They have become one of the most popular Konpa bands. Their careers began in 2002, and it looks like 2016 may be the year they call it quits on the band.

Carimi is currently the most popular Haitian band on Spotify, with nearly 18 thousand monthly listeners. That puts them ahead of T-Vice (13.2K) and Harmonik (8.7K) on the streaming service.
Carimi’s lead singer Mickael Guirand took to Instagram to reveal the real reason why he took a break from one of the most popular Haitian bands.
Guirand said that he’s been mentally and physically drained for a while now and needed some time off. He also thanked Mikaben for replacing him while he was away and added “For the record Mika never wanted the gigg full time.”
